Over the weekend to I took a trip into the city to have a gander at one of our citys cathedrals. Was not able to get any outside shots, was raining and my 30Ds not rain proof...and least not heavy rain proof
these are all tonemapped...I kinda think it suits the subject...that inc the Mary/child which is 30% tonemapped

Fantastic. You can almost feel the texture in the walls. Can you tell us about metering, how many exposures, and what program you use? I purchased Photomatix, and I've been practicing with it. Your shots here are really inspiring to someone like me. Thanks for showing us.
Really wonderfull stuff. As I am reading Ken Follets "Pillars of the Earth", which is about the builiding of medieval cathederals, these pictures are perfectly timed. When you look at the height and detail of the vaulted ceilings and arches, and consider that there were no power tools, calculators, or even slide rules, the accomplishment is just truly amazing.....as are your images. 3 exposures -2 0 +2, 30d and I also use Photomatix

Yep....and for the pano I used a pano head and a sigma 8mm fisheye
