Listen, and you will hear the rhythm of The People; resilient and strong.

Cheryl, this is very painterly and very beautiful. You've used the brushes with skill and brilliance!! Do you remember which brushes you used (I am assuming this was done in Painter?)?

There is a Cheryl tutorial which covers this approach (i think) at the
corel magazine site - Issue 10 - Loose brush strokes - 1 file - 6.7mb
.

Thanks, Jordan... that's the one!
Kathy, you'll see in issue 10 that I'm a rather simple painter;
always using this same layering process with Artist's Oils or Oil Pastels.
This one, Rhythm, was painted to the blank 'canvas' using Artist's Oils
with only one brush, my favorite... the Wet Oily Brush.
Here are the settings I use for this brush:
Grain:40%, Viscosity:78%, Blend:66%, Wetness:82%.
Opacity varies from 100% to 30%, Size varies.
Thanks so much for your generous comments, Kathy!
