An early morning hike led me to this beautiful view. The dynamic range of the sunrise was way more than the DB could handle, so I bracketed the shots. Unfortunately it's been a real bugger to process. Anyone doing HDR ( and doing it good ) knows how difficult it is to pull off, and not create some kind of psycho-color monster.
Camera Data:
This is a real pretty image... I love all of the detail in the foreground.
However, it definitely has that HDR thing about it...
I look forward to seeing more,

Excellent job maintaining a rather natural looking image in such a difficult DR situation. I see some posterization in the sky where the image is falling apart a bit, but I'm pretty sure that's just because of the web compression. I bet the sky is silky smooth in the full res shot.
Ah...beautiful scene. I was in Kauai this past January. The most beautiful of the Hawaiin Islands in my opinion. Good job of not making this look too HDRish. My only minor nitpick is the left side seems a tad dark. I looked at your gallery. Very nice work. The shot of the Kilauea Lighthouse is most impressive.
Wonderful shot! The color on the clouds are stunning! I haven't tried HDR yet. Any trick that you can share? Do you think that a 3-stop ND filter can achieve similar result here?
BTW, you have a very nice series of landscape shots in your gallery as well. I really enjoy it and wish I could be there.
