I have 2 24inch dell monitors, one is the 2407 the other is the 2408. Identical monitors. I've had the 2407 for about a year, the 2408 is a few months.
im using a spyder2pro. just wondering if anyone has tips on getting both monitors right on. should i simply run the app on each, or should custom settings be involved?
If you are running Windows XP you will need to download and install Microsoft's Color applet and change the Look Up Table loaded installed by your collaborator application with Microsoft's applet "wincolor.exe" and don't forget to include the "/L" parameter load the LUT using the tables from both of your displays ICC color profiles.
i have a similar question
i am using a imac 24"glossy and a cinema display
when i calibrate one of the monitor, it uses the same profile over my second display as well
and the colours just don't seem right to me...
anyone knows how to solve this...??
The Spyder2Pro allows you to calibrate 2 monitors so I'm assuming that the best way to go would be to run the once on each monitor. As for getting both monitors exact, goodluck At work we only have the Spyder2 non-pro version which doesn't allow for dual-screen so after calibrating the 1st monitor, I just replicate the rgb/brightness setting on the other. It's not perfect, but I've got in the habbit of doing all my image work on the left monitor and keeping all the other stuff on the right.
I use the Basic Color Program and the x-rite Hocky Puck to calibrate my 5 monitors. I tried a cheap Spyder-useless! It does a really good job but you will want to trust only one monitor for exacting work.
