Very nice series, Dan. Lighting and colors are very good, and eventhough detail are nice maybe a bit more sharpening could help. I like the last shot best because of the darker bg. I've seen people using blck cloth behind the flowers as bg, to help make the flowers stand out more. Nice job.

Thanks for the comstructive comments Socrate. I will give it another try. I agree all the images appear a tad soft but with PSE 5.0 the learning curve on sharpness can get "ugly" for me. Also the tip of the flower is OOF. I need to get everything in focus. I was using a 400mm f5.6 with an extension tube for an experiment. But again thanks for the comment.

PS..Socrate, I played with the sharpening and I had a great deal of "noise, aka grainniness" imposed into the image when I got the sharpness to the point where it looked acceptable. Any hints on how to "adjust" that??
