p.1 #1 · Canada and the search for Bullwinkle

I'll be up in Montreal next month and was hoping to find some moose over the weekend. Any suggestions as to where I might go? I was guessing Parc Du Mont Tremblant or Parc National De La Mauricie will be best looking at the map. Both a good hike out of the city, anyplace closer I might have luck? Would either be better then the other?

Thanks,
Matt

I can honestly say Ive been around there (spent almost my entire life there) and have seen 1 moose. How far west are you willing to drive (ie. 2 to 3 hours?) if so there are some good areas on the Ontario/Quebec 'border' which you could check out? Algonquin park is 4.5-5 hours and probably worth the drive if youre dead set on moose.

Tremblant/Mauricie are already 2-2.5hrs from montreal(brossard to be exact) so I don't mind a little further but how far are we talking? 5 hours may be pushing my luck.

How about parc de la gatineau?
