Thank you........having it installed next week........got a pretty good pricing package bundled with my phone services........my kid is stoked for his gaming !
I've got a friend with it on the east coast - he's really happy with it. A cynic would suggest dsl and voice problems might be related to the roll out in your area. An optimist would figure that since I had similar problems, maybe FIOS is heading this way too.
I have had it for about 6 months and whereas with DSL I never thought about not getting online FIOS has been a bit frustrating. Is it faster, yes but the past few weeks we are seeing a daily problem never experienced with DSL. I start up computer and launch Firefox 50% of the time it says cannot find my page, if i log off and go do something for 20 mins and return and relaunch same problem. How to get around this I have to do a series of shut down and re-boots to get it going.
We have the TV bundle and theres a quirk there two, you have to press the power button on the remote and hold for a couple of seconds or you end up with a blank screen...we were warned about this on installation. If this does not work you go to the TV set and press and hold the power button.
I'm a bit surprised I need to do all this jigging about with new technology.
