While I think this post contains some sarcasm, I have to agree with the sentiment. There are only limited uses for this lens. Certainly, it would be a good wildlife lens and it has some use in sports, but the size and the length really limit its usability in most circumstances. As for turning it into a 7680mm with TCs...you would never get it steady enough to produce a decent shot without a permanent mounting of some time and that would be pretty much useless. No tax if you live out of state, it would be cheaper to fly to another state, rent a vacation home or apartment, and not work for a month and have the lens shipped and insured than to have to pay tax in NY .
