p.1 #1 · 2 Ducks, 2 WCS

I set out last evening with some nice warm filtered sun with the intention of getting some ducks in flight. By the time I got there, about 5 minutes later a large storm cloud was forming and soon blocked out the sun. I barely had enough light to shoot semi-stationary birds. Here are the results.

C&C, enjoy looking.

Tim

1. Male Gadwall

You got me worried there...for a moment I read 2 Ducks 2 WC's
I thought this thread's gonna be about 2 ducks hangin around a public toilette
sorry it's 6 a.m. and I haven't had my cofee yet
I like the sparrow shots...specially #3 w it's feet burried under sand! in #4 I think I can barely see you in his eye's reflection
Good shots Tim...hope the weather's gonna give you a break!

Thanks Roger, sometimes we head out for one thing and come back with something else but just as good.

I've only seen a few of these and this pair was the first this year. I think they may have just been stopping by for a rest.

Thanks!

Nello, I'm glad you thought of that. My wife told me people were going to think I taking pictures of toilets!

3, under the sand is the glue to hold the little bugger in place!

Oh, it's spring, the weather is a bit of everything. It's all in the timing.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Noelle, to me that is one of the fun aspects of this hobby. Sure there is all the photo technique stuff to learn but there is so much more than that. Learning more about wildlife and habitat is priceless. I got that guy in a busy park, in a good size city. All it took for so much wildlife to be there is a pond and some woods.

# 1, and 4 are my favorites of this very nice set, Tim. I would send some of our sunshine to your place, but that comes with hurricanes, high humidity, mosquitoes, and crocodiles.
Socrate

P.S. You would probably get an Egret or two also.

#1 & #4 are also my picks as the best from a group that's all very good! The bush hawk seems to be a good investment for you! Thanks for posting these! Bill
