Well, not my first actual bridal. My first bridal will be in a few weeks. This one was just practice with a friend who had a dress. The last one was just for fun.
the 1st and 3rd are nice-like your framing in 3 especially and nice lighting overall-color in the 2nd shot seems a bit off to me-the veil has a purplish tint as well
last shot seems like it was done for fun-seems like you achieved what you were shooting for there-just hope you don't use it to advertise
Yeah, she didn't have the best range of expressions. I need to work more on getting subjects to give me good expressions.
Daniel - yeah, I think it's my white balance that's off in that shot. The strobes come out cool, so I have to boost the temp in camera raw, but in this one, once I'd get the veil white, she looked like she had a sunburn.
Now for the critique:
For me the images are over post processed. the skin doesnt look real, it looks more plastic than anything. The only other thing is the hands... I am not exactly sure what you could have done to make them better other having her cup her hands a bit more to give them some more shape rather than just laying them there.
The exacution on all these is flawless. Great lighting, poses, color, skin treatment etc. That said I'm not sure what to make of the last shot. I dunno, not sure if it helps the portfolio or not. I thinks it's cool but some potential clients just might be turned off. $.02
