I went down to Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn NY and found the gulls and swans.
I used a Nikon D300 with 70-200 VR and TC 1.7.

at first I was not sure of this combinations. Then I redid my pp'ing of my zoo & Koala shots & now I like it.

My favorite is # 2, then comes # 3

Nice series! My favorite is # 4

Sheepshead bay is my old neighborhood. I spent a lot of time in that area. Did you eat at Rollin' Roaster ( The Roast Beef Restaurant ). Ah! I can almost taste those cheese fries and the Roast beef & cheese sandwich.

Indeed I have. You might say I am a regular there. Rare beef, double dipped with extra onions.

Thanks Lil, Harsha, Pete and Tim for taking the time to look and comment.
I just started to shoot birds recently when I acquired my TC 17 tele-extender.

While I know their is some impact on lens quality, under the right conditions, it is controlled very well. I notice that when birds are flying towards me, the focus tracking tries to keep up, but if the bird is too fast I will get sharper feet, than heads.
I hope to solve that situation, but for now I enjoy the extra reach.
