p.1 #1 · Muslin with stands

Hi folks,

I'll be shooting a formal shots at a military ball for a local US Army unit. I need to pick up stands and a muslin backdrop, I'm thinking hand painted grey design will be the safest as I know what the Army dress uniform looks like, but have no idea what the spouses will be wearing.

I need to purchase the stands and muslin and I"m looking for suggestions.
I'm leaning toward this, but would love to hear of others.

muslin

Thanks,
Joe

i'd go with your 2nd muslin choice. push comes to shove, you can gel your lights. OR you can go with a plain white vinyl or paper BG.

good luck!

I was never that impressed with Westcott, I got some ones that advertised hand painted but they where just dyed.

I would lean toward these

http://aurabackdrops.com/cloudbursthandpaintedbackdrop10x20-p-430.html

They also have a special in the package deal area where you basically buy 2 get 1 free.

good luck

Depending on your lighting. I would go with this one.

I use this one @ a lot of te Air Force functions I shoot on base. No one ever gets tired of it. Also, Silverlake makes great muslins. They are very tough and thick. I think it has been my best purchase as for backdrops.

Well I experienced bad bad customer service when I used backdrops from Adorama.com..sorry to say..the Backdrops were arn’t cheapest either..But Now since last few months or so, I have been using backdrops from http://www.aurabackdrops.com - It provides excellent post-sales service, quality is great and the price is reasonable..It can’t get better than aurabackdrops.com really…so what you have to say jlacasci?
