Just need some personal experience advice as I will have to have it shipped from the manufacturer. Please excuse me while I think outload I want to be able to take with me 2x canon flashes 70-200 2.8 (have to be able to stash it with the hood attached) 300f4 17-40 ebay triggers, MKII batteries, CF card pouch, AA batteries etc etc My thoughts are if I get skin 50 for the 17-40 skin double wall for 70-200 and 300f4 chimp change for everything else. jdryan3 Offline Upload & Sell: Off p.1 #3 · think tank advice needed On a Pro Modulus belt I carry a Digital Holster (DH) 20 for my 5D with strap, tripod plate and whatever lens I am primarily using that day, up to the 70-200 f/2.8. The expanding bottom is great so if I am not carrying the 70-200, I can shorten it. Additionally, I have the Bum Bag on the back, Speed Changer on the front, and Lens Changer (LC)75 - holds 70-200 alone, 24-70, or 35L and 50 1.8 (or 100 f/2) - on the other hip. Finally I carry the Lightening Fast when necessary. Other pieces I will swap out with are the LC 35 and the R U Thirsty, depending upon what I am doing. One piece of advice would to be follow their counsel on belt size. This setup does sit on your hips and not on your waist, and you don't want to wear it too tight. Think about the pants you will be wearing, belt (if any), shirts, etc. In the winter I wear it under my clothing except for a shirt. I wear a 33/34" (85cm) waist pant, but wear the Large Pro Mod belt, not quite extended all the way out. The XL when tightened all the way down just was too loose and the extra belt material was too much. Finally the Chimp Cage is geared more to using for a body, while the Speed Changer is for all the stuff you carry. Not that you can't use the the Chimp that way ... Mar 22, 2008 at 06:43 AM

I was going the smaller speed belt but with the extra weight I might up it to the steroid belt. I will be using it for weddings also so I dont want something that looks like a weight lifting belt around me! I shoot cycling and triathlon from the back of a motorbike (facing forwards) and cant carry a back pack. I have a Lowepro Orion pack at the moment but it doesnt fit everything I need it to and having to take the hood on and off ALL of the time REALLY annoys me. Mar 22, 2008 at 11:34 AM

Lens Changer 35 for my 28-135 IS, TC's, or a water bottle if I need one. 2. Lens Changer 75 to use with my 70-200 and/or my 100-400 IS 3. Lightning Fast for my 580EX 4. Speed Changer bag for everything else. 5. Pixel Racing Harnes to keep the Steriod Speed Belt from falling around my knees. I guess you could add the Lens Changer 300 for you 300mm lens, but that may be getting a bit over loaded. Maybe not The Seroid Speed Belt is very comfortable and the componants slide around on the rail very easily. I'm totally satisfied with my purchase. Mar 22, 2008 at 03:14 PM

Maybe not Scott - Andrew says he is using the 300 f/4 so the LC 75 will work for that also. That LC 300 does seem to be a bit of a beast. Andrew - I personally didn't care for the large belt on the Speed Freak and it was hard to downsize if I needed less on a shoot. The CU will easily hold your 2 flashes in the outside stretch pockets, 70-200 with hood reversed, 17-40 with hood and some of your accessories. The Speed Changer can hold all your accessories. Savas K Offline Dedicated FM Upload & Sell: Off p.1 #12 · think tank advice needed My findings are that once you have sufficient gear to warrant a pixel racing harness, the harness fixings occupy some of the belt real estate, get in the way and prevent some bag mobility, which you will need in order to access them without undue body twist. The exception is when carrying, say, two large, heavy lenses that can remain static and which you would benefit from the weight transfer. Perhaps put your gear on table near a mirror and visualize it surrounding you. The gear you mentioned could well wrap your body almost twice over. Think about what you will be carrying as opposed to what will remain in bag much of the time, swapping out and the like. Mar 23, 2009 at 12:19 PM
