This is Theo Walcott, one of the best young footballers (soccer players) on the planet. I shot a charity fund-raising video with him today and afterwards grabbed five minutes to take a portrait that will be signed, framed and auctioned off for the charity.

I like it. I think it's a little shadow-heavy on the right side of his face. I'd be interested to learn your lighting setup for this one.
Thanks, photoLoko, I'll try and post a lighting diagram later, but it was nothing special - two remote flash heads (SB600s) and a large reflector (California Sunbounce).
I think the 'constellation' of stars (lights) above him is good too. Not a distraction.
What to change?
I would start with the white underwear showing on his leg. Simply clone over it with the adjacent blue short fabric. It is eye-catching as is.
I hope that helps you.
Thanks Steady,
Interesting you should pick up on the thigh strap. Theo picked up a minor muscle strain in training this morning, just before I was due to shoot the video with him. The club banned him from kicking a ball which meant I had to hastily rewrite the script for the video as it involved a lot of leg work. He asked me if I could paint out the strap as he thought people would think it would look like underwear - I guess he was right
