Alot of places sell them NEW ffrom low $1500 to high $1500. Used ones being sold around here in the mid $1450 to low $1500. Get a new one for your peace of mind w/ warranty in your name, etc.
Best idea for such a newly released lens is to buy it new. Think about it this way. Someone who just bought it new probably paid $1589 from BH Photo. Even with buyers remorse and choosing to sell it he or she can't drop it too much for such a new lens. The rest who bought the 14-24mm when it first came out paid $1799 so selling too cheap would be a huge loss. And then it just happens to be an amazing landscape lens so many people are not dumping these.
Buy it new with a warranty and enjoy it, it's a lense I have no immediate plans on selling and I'll bet I'm not the only one.
