I had to read a lot of books and it took me quite a bit of time to learn how to navigate and use this program, but the effort was well worth it.

Your renders are looking real good! Just work on your lighting and materials. You may want to look into rendering with HDR Images. Here are a few of my examples using HDR Images as the only light source in these 3D scenes.
