I for one cannot stand camera straps and all my photo friends get on me for it. I just ordered to hand straps and will see if I like those but as for regular straps its a no go for me.
One around my neck and one over my shoulder. I didn't know there was any other way of carrying a camera. Of course, I've almost hung myself a couple of times, but I thought that was what my life insurance was for... Yvette
The original Canon strap takes so long to put and off the camera so I got myself an optech strap.
I'm very pleased with ist... can be fully detached much faster than the Canon and semi-detached in a split second.
1 on each shoulder...can't stand anything hanging from my neck. Canon for Professionals straps are good (got mine in Japan)...unlike the Digital ones you get with the camera, they wear out too fast.
I am anti-straps also . They tend to get in my way when I am shooting and I really enjoy the freedom of not having one.
I did for the first time in a long put it on yesterday. I was going to the city and I wanted to pack as light as possible and be able to shoot at a moments notice without any interference . So, I only took my camera w/ my 16-35 2.8... no camera bag. I had the strap going across my chest when I was walking around. I enjoyed the freedom of not having a bag with me that day!
If I'm only carrying one camera (ie: engagements, portraits, etc) then I use a handstrap.
For weddings, I begrudgingly put the straps on so I can carry two bodies.
I have handstraps on both on my bodies, which I love. I also use the straps here: www.blackrapid.com
I have 2 straps from black rapid and although they are kinda spendy, I think they are well worth it. They work just like advertised, and they are very well made (and in the US, I think, which probably accounts for some of the $$).
I also have to say they have some of the best customer experience I've ever seen! They went completely out of their way to get me a strap in time for a recent wedding, and all on their nickel. After using it, I have to say its the best way I've found thus far to carry both my cameras at weddings.

Do you carry two cameras ever? Can these be used with another camera on a regular strap / bracket?
I really like the looks of them when using one body but I am almost always carrying two when shooting weddings.
Well I leave the shoulder strap on and when I am caring two cameras I throw one over my shoulder. The other is always wrapped around my hand. I never have it around my neck.
I have not tried the hand straps but like being able to throw it over my shoulder when I need to.
Lowepro straps on both bodies. They have a quick release thingy that works great if you want to get rid of them. Another vote for one round the neck and one on shoulder. I too have nearly strangled myself but its the only way that works for me.
I have straps on both of my bodies and aside from using them around my shoulder on summer vacation, they stay mostly wrapped around my wrist when I shoot weddings. I don't carry both bodies at the same time, though.
