Some good shots in there. I'm learning and would be interested in the details for the shots - i.e. camera, lens, focal, etc. I am curious to see what type of lens you used to get the close shots.
Thanks for the comments and compliments! I want to get some action shots, but they never seem to do anything interesting while I'm watching them. But I never tire of trying!
As far as the gear goes, all of the Rough-Legged and the first Red-Tailed were taken with a Canon 100-400 L on a 40D (actually, I think the RT was with a 30D+same lens). The rest of the shots were taken with the 500 f4 L that I bought here from Krug (great guy, and a pleasure to do business with, btw) on the 40D. The 500 is taking a bit of getting used to after using the 100-400 for a few months. No more leaping out of the car at the merest hint of an opportunity! Plus, the field of view is of course much narrower (especially with the 1.4 TC attached) which makes target acquisition rather difficult at times. Hopefully I'll get better with practice....hopefully!
Some nice shots here. I like the hawk feeding, the kestrel (who looks pissed at you!) , the cardinals (real nice) and the first nuthatch. All three I haven't yet captured and you have done a great job of it.
