Managed to get a little shooting in this weekend. Nice conditions on Saturday.
Took a little trip to Denver and raced to catch the sunset at Red Rocks after i saw the cloud formations over the foothills. Made it from downtown Denver to Red Rocks in 20 minutes.
Red Rocks Sunset.

Sunday morning here at the lake looked to be a spectacular sunrise. A few low clouds out east blocked some of the sun and color. took a little lower vantage point to this shot. Tried out the new ND filter. 25 second exposure @ f/18
My favourites were the 1st and last shot with the first winning out by a tad. The gorgeous colours of the sunset offer a wonderful background to the textured rock.
Thanks,
Al B

Seeing these photographs makes me happy that my son moved to Denver in October. Now I have a really good excuse to visit these sites. Thanks for the inspiration. Thea
Very nice, Klaus; and very well worth the dash from down-town Denver. Great skies - I like the first one for that interesting rock formation with that lovely colourful cloud over it. Nice composition in the third. I would have expected a lot of snow and ice in Colorado at this time of year - or is it only the PNW that gets dumped on so much?

Thanks Martin and Karl. It was well worth the dash. Not much snow here in the front range but lots in the high country.
