p.1 #1 · Zeiss made Leica lens?

So I was browsing fleabay the other day, and I ran up on this
auction.

I don't know much about collectors items, but I'm guessing this is a pretty rare gem if the reserve is not even met at almost $9000.

90000? I hope it's a typo!

Yes Leica brokered Zeiss to produce a Hologon for them. Evidently, when the task was too difficult for their abilities, they had to resort to the real Masters.
