p.1 #1 · Hummingbird at ISO 2000 (7)

Early this morning I stuck my head out a window and cranked up the ISO to 2000. (The last one at 3200) I used a noise reducer on all, but even so, the MKIII can handle these high ISO settings better than I would have imagined.

#4 Getting ready to scratch the itch, or maybe he's thinking "back off and nobody will get hurt."

Great series. The "back off" shot was probably in preparation for the last. Fantastic performance at such high ISOs.....

Maggie Holy Mouse, I have got to get the Mk III. I have a hummer coming to my feeders now and would like to shoot it. Well done. Bruce

HI Maggie. Are these cropped very much or close to full frame? Seem pretty decent even at a high iso.

Oh Maggie these are just great, pretty darn colorful for such low light and the high ISO looks very good with your help.
I think #4 was going for a 'high five' from you! Great work, nicely presented, did that last one have anything to do with a thread by 'Jody' ?

Beautiful shots Maggie - outstanding performance by that MkIII. Too bad you couldn't post that last one in my crappy thread last year

Great shots, Maggie. Indeed, the MkIII does handle those high ISO's well. They are all very nice, though #3 and #5 are definitely my favorites. These put a smile on my face. : )

Very nice shots, Maggie, The MkIII handles the high ISO as good as you handle the MkIII. # 3, and 5 are my favorites.

Nicely done, Maggie! I think the MkIII performance at high ISOs is just amazing. An ISO 3200 shot on a MkIII can actually look better than an ISO 800 shot on the MkIIN. I haven't tried yet to compare the performance without noise reduction to ones with, but the only downside that I can see for using the noise reduction all the time is that you can't quite shoot 10 fps - which is not something I do very often, if at all, anyway!
