there you go again young lady.......another fine series from up yonder in the NW.
IMO, perfect shutter speed on #2.....it's all sharp with just a hint of motion on the water's surface
Bonnie these are just great fun. Love the splash shots especially, and the look of intensity on the face of duck #1 cracked me up. Super super!!!!!!
Susan
The 'action' shots of the splashers are pretty cool. Amazing tracking ability of the camera and the photographer have been fully demonstrated in that one shot with distracting foreground. Very nice series with only whole bunch of ducks, Bonnie .

impressive AF on that last one
Thanks, Dave! I am so sick of the gray, gloomy days--it was a real treat to have a bit of better light.
I like # 2 as well!
Thanks!

Your beautiful images are a fine statement of the potential of the 1D MKIII coupled with your talent, Bonnie.

Thanks, Socrate! I am very confident in the camera now.

Splashers rule and number three is in charge! What great light you must have had for these super shots. Steve WSteve, the sun is always low on the horizon this time of year here--so anytime it comes out is good! !
Thanks!

Thanks, Susan! I haven't really got any splash shots that I love, yet--but I will keep trying!

Bonnie, you are one with the Mallards . Another terrific series with the splashers my faves.
Lol! Well, Maggie--there was a fellow there that said there were about 300 ducks there on New Year's day--some I never did figure out what he was talking about. Of course, I had to work that day--so...
Thanks for looking!
