Great shots Bro!! I really like #3. I guess the deer were very friendly. Shot with 300mm on a FF ( oh yeah FX) body. You must have been 10 feet away for these little beauties. Man, you must be doing some major traveling. One post you have the ocean and warm weather and the next post you have snow. Glad to see you're putting the new Camera through the paces. It seems like you are really have fun shooting. A new camera always get me exited about shooting.
Actually, the black ones are what we call "slow elk"
In the old west, when someone was caught roasting someone else's beef, they'd claim it was elk. Thus the term "slow elk"

we just kept moving closer slowly and they just never seemed stressed , it was nice to be so near to them and watch their interactions. Having a new camera is a blast and i do really like this one

Nice shots John. Thanks for inviting me to tag along. I can't remember when I had so much fun. I'm still processing, but I'm pretty sure I have a couple of keepers. Getting a chance to shoot the 300mm was a thrill and my old 80-200 is no match for the 70-200 VR. It'll be fun to see if there is any difference in the IQ for the two lenses.
Thanks for everything--including the great pictures you post.
Tim
thanks Tim , we must get together again soon my friend
