Wow, nice to see all the pieces coming together.

When I visited her, there was an instrument panel on the wall full of empty gauge holes. And an anecdote posted to the side, where a newspaper reporter had suggested that maybe the museum owed Memphis something for taking care of her all these years. The alleged reply was something along the lines of don't even think about it, until the residents returned all the parts that had been stolen while she was there.

I'm not sure what this will mean for our local show(s) but I guess if you're looking for a bright side you might consider that the Museum's, CAF etc may get a big boost in support and revenue from a much increased demand for performances/appearances. It's already starting to happen. Right now at NWCAS there are over 100 performers shopping themselves around and they're not just random dudes with S2B's either...

Civilian Side is ........Red Bull helicopter .. Mike Wiskus in the Lucas Oil Pitts .. they are also saying the Blue Angels will make their inaugural performance in Ocean City June 8 - 9, 2013 to headline the OC Air Show.

Sorry to be such a pessimist but I cannot see our western democracies working properly again until we can re establish a well educated, well informed populous who are prepared to think about what they want for the future and then turn out and VOTE.

Here in Australia news is reduced to 5 second sound grabs and we have a bunch of journalists who are too frightened to stand up to the politicians because if they ask the hard questions they get excluded from the press conferences or overlooked by the press secretaries who allocate the questions.

Because of the wind down in what went for education standards of thirty/forty years ago the great unwashed are easy targets for the shockjocks promoting the the politics of fear, and they are having a field day

The sad fact is a democracy will never work effectively without an educated well informed and active populous to drive it.

Gentlemen. we have a problem. Australia more so than you guys. Our governments since WW2 have been taking one soft option after the other and we now have an economy without a shred of manufacturing and we rely entirely on our iron ore and coal export into China.

The good news is we still have an order in for 100 F35s. I dont know whether I should laugh or cry

To all of you who sent your kind thoughts, Eugenie has her heart re operated on the 20th.

The emotional strength of her and her fiancee is amazing and they are doing a good job of holding Mum and Dad together.
