Come to think of it, I might just hold off on any upgrades until that rumor plays out. Man, would that knock Canon's nose in the dirt, two record breaking bodies on the market before Canon gets their first one out of the gate. Especially if Nikon holds to their announce it and release it timetable.

Canon has been concentrating on a myriad of 4K cameras, and video bodies. Maybe that's the direction they think things are going. That market seems to change so quickly, along with the product offerings, I'd be scared to drop 12-18 grand on a body.

Ok, that one and the other one are vying for number one, but I'm leaning toward that one! You have to be grinning from ear to ear Glenn. I'm proud of you!

I think I'd commission you to follow me down to some blue water in the islands if I was the owner. St. Thomas is nice this time of year!

Are those 1340's powering that bird?

I'm afraid I misrepresented the "moments before touchdown'...based on the high power setting and no flaps, i think that was a takeoff..

Its too bad glassy water is so difficult to land on - it would make for some amazing shots between the groundeffect pressure coming off the wings and a reflection..

Just kissing the water...

Funny you mention the islands - when I first met with the owner to talk about this project I asked him if he has a lakeplace, or mountain home or something to fly this too. His answer was "no - wanted the plane first. Now i'll find the reason to have it".. affirmative on the 1340's.

Large and in charge..

Just when I think it can't get any better, it does! Yes, glass would be something to behold. Glass and a little fog, if you're going to dream, might as well go all the way.

Glenn, buddy... I am absolutely speechless at how far your imagery has come, and how quickly. First and foremost, my congratulations for that achievement since we all know full well what kind of blood, toil, sweat, and tears that takes.

Second, some of those Mallard images I think are possibly your best ever. Wow.

Hey, do they want the shot.....or not?

There's a guy at KTKI that still tells the story about me shooting his Skybolt on top of a cloud deck at sunset. The deck appeared out of nowhere and we popped up on top. The light kept getting better and better. I kept saying, "just a few more minutes!" as the darkness crept in underneath the layer. His eyes got bigger and bigger as he thought about the no landing light pattern and touch down that was shaping up for him. All ended well and he loves the shots to this day, but we did push it a little.

I guess we never really like to see the shoot end, until there's no light left at all. Even then, even when no one thinks another image is capturable..........................

What Rodolfo said. I'm in awe of your recent A2A imagery as well as your bull-by-the-horns ethos, Glenn. Well done; well done, indeed!
