Three hours into sensor cleaning hell at the moment. Just finished up my second X body, D800 is next in que. Not expecting it to be anywhere near as tough as the X's. I just ordered another couple dozen sensor swabs from B&H as I have depleted my stock.
Zim, are you experiencing anything like this with your X bodies? I thought I was having a sensor problem with one body because I was picking up a very subtle positive density in the sky during my cleaning regimen. Turns out it was a little dust on the back element of the 24-70 II, an easy fix.
I''ve got to get these clean because I have an Airbus Monday, a residential architecture shoot Tuesday and half of Wednesday, then I leave that for the midwest to shoot Thursday and Friday. If I don't have these sensors spotless, I'll be creating a Photoshop nightmare. Guess I need to just plan on cleaning my sensors at least once a week, or buy bodies for every lens. My guess is that won't work for the X's, because I think a lot of that is coming from inside. I'm going to use the H drive setting very sparingly and see if my sensors are cleaner.
I have to get out of town, two of my neighbors took delivery on brand new TBM 850's this week, I'm getting depressed. One guy has about 200 TT. My logbook is much larger than his, but my wallet is not........
