Boone Pickens has an attic full of those things. He bought a billion dollars worth of them before he realized the folks in the Panhandle had zero interest in sticking them up on their land. They're cool looking though.

I think you're right, Jim: how about a dusk ramp shoot with something exotic in the airplane line as a backdrop? Ross's T-38, maybe. Or, wait, I can see it now: the Tesla in front of an F-4 with the Tora Tora Tora wall of fire behind. Can you set that one up for me?

OK, this is weird. That shot of my Tesla I posted yesterday has an odd reflection in the front fender. It's not there in the next frame, which I shot from the same tripod position at a slightly different exposure. Near as I can figure, I caught a hot air balloon reflected in the car's finish, but it was 4:30pm on a breezy afternoon. I can't imagine a hot air balloon pilot willing to inflate and launch in conditions like that. But what else would make a reflection like that above the reflection of the roofline of the garage?

I've normalized the exposures between #2 and #3 for illustration.
