she is an amateur photog, and she was asked to shoot an event for pay. i believe it is a party that takes place at night, in a club. she has:

stock 18-135 lens
2gb memory
just looking for general tips, any recommended extra gear, and also how much should she ask for compensation? any information will be appreciated! thanks!
She will need:
-another body and lens (backup at the least...)
-high powered flash with tilt and swivel
-more flash cards
Compensation depends. ~$75 +/- per hour depending on market. Then fees for usage of photos that depend on how they are to be used.
BTW..insurance is also a good thing. If she were to harm someone any existing policy she has won't cover her. Same goes for her gear, it is now no loner covered by a homeowner or renter's policy.
