In the spirit of the season, it's always a pleasure to view holiday displays in the neighborhood; although some get a bit obsessed with their outdoor decorations.--Frank

Great idea. Some people clearly go over the top and this house is a good example. I find the deflated Santa on the right as well as the blurry lights on the right a bit distracting. I am not sure how to fix it, but you might be able to crop out the garage and it might work better. Just a thought. Good luck this week,
I was waiting for one of these, house all done up for the Holidays. Great job! If you think this one is bad I should show you some in my town. Wonderful use of the existing light. Good Luck.
So true and universal ! Excessiveness is a mankind thing I guess.
I would have prefered the shot less exposed to make the lights stand out more and detach better from the house.

Thank you, Karen. Yes, there were many from which I could have chosen.--Frank

Good luck!
This is not typical, Jouko, but there are those obsessed with getting as many lights out as possible, not matter what the final effect . Thanks for taking a look.--Frank

That's better to me even if some lights are still strongly overexposed (especially in the foreground). You should try some shots metering for them next time.

Cheers,

Julien--I shot this in raw, so I could lessen the exposure, but the lights get too muted for my taste. Thanks, though, for taking another look and for your help.--Frank

Perfect idea and a great shot! My kids gripe that we don't partcipate in this tradition, so I can't wait to show them that this was shot for the "obsession" theme, so they know we are not the only Scrooge-types out there Good luck this week! -amy
