they suck because they have met the demand this time.
i went to my local shop, and they had 150 D300's on order and expecting a limited amount to come in like when the D200 came out. well my sales guy told me that 100 of the 150 came in and they were able to fill the ~35 pre-orders. so they had one in the case, i looked at it all of about 2 minutes until i said "just ring me out and i'll play with it when i get home."
i could write about the D300, but so many already did it before me.

so? just show us your messy tabletop @ iso3200. come on...
the ca correction, dymanic range, extra battery life and 1 iso stop make me think it is. defiantly if the screw drive lenses don't keep racking in and out in low light.
yeah, Nikon sucks big time. I just canceled my order for a D3, couldn't justify $5000 when it doesn't earn me any bread. then the small camera shop here in town called and told me they got 2 D300s in, and had one available. It is now in my camera bag. A weak man. But happy.

i used the D300 last nite at my local shop and it spun an 85 1.4 smoother than my D2H. About as fast, too.
