Not so....you throw the Pity Party, and we'll come. It'll be fun eating the milktoast and drinking the koolaid.
Now, let's be real for a second. Anyone who's been around this forum for awile, or any other, knows that there are a TON of folks who sit around and obsesss about thier gear, pixel peeping, worrying. It's a matter of crying wolf, my friend. I bought my III and so did a half dozen of my fellow excellent and experienced photographers and we had NO problems. Arthur Morris reported NO problems on a dozen cameras he used. So it's a matter of credibility and the 'cry wolf' effect.
Now quit whining and get your camera fixed.
So you mean there isn't and has never been a problem with the AI-Servo tracking capabilities of the 1D Mark 3?
Looking at your website, I suppose I can understand why. For nature photography both of the 1D3's I used performed very well. Generally for motorsport they perform very well.
However, I don't use the same camera setup that I use for wildlife on say a game like rugby. I don't see any rugby photos on your site so therefore your point is moot. If your 1D3 works for you, I am genuinely happy for you. It just so happens that mine does not work for people sports. Subjects are small, move back and forth, left and right, dashing through highlights and lowlights and often wear clothes which are difficult to focus on. If you shoot with the 1D Mark 3 that is. My 1D2N performs this job with ease, day in day out, it works every time and my keep rate is exceptionally high, which must mean by default my skills as a photographer are good. Unless of course my half brain cells shut down whenever I pick up a 1D Mark 3! Perhaps this is the unknown Canon 1D3 side effect that makes all of us photographers shoot badly with the body.
I am not angry and I don't mean to cause offence, but your comments were just the funniest thing I have read on this forum in a while.
Now try to karate chop me JB!
