My 1DsMark11 is locking up once in a while with a 70-200 2.8 is. When I shoot a frame the camera just locks. I turn off the camera remove and re-attach the lens and everything is ok. This doesn't happen with any other lens. Anyone have any idea what's going on>
The 70-200 2.8 IS locks up from time to time. You can clean the contacts with a pencil eraser (internet folklore. I've never tried it, but it supposedly works.) and that should help prevent further lockups.
IIRC = If I Remember Correctly or If I Recall Correctly.
A number of FMers have had their 70-200 f/2.8 IS serviced because of the Err 99 problems and lockups, and ended up with new IS units. It seemed to be relatively common a couple of years ago but is rarely mentioned these days.

if you use a pinky eraser from your standard #2 pencil i will advise you that there is a chance of inducing even more problems as the eraser is of the abrasive type and can reduce that gold plating on the contact and allow oxidation of said contact over time. in short i wouldn't do that if i were you.
