Don't know much about rangefinders, but have been curious enough to skip out (for now) on a 100-400 IS to pick up an outfit. I've been offered a Leica M6 with the speed grip by a friend of a friend. Condition is allegedly near mint, includes original box and everything. What's a decent price? Also, if it turns out that it isn't for me, what's the likelihood that I can unload it here?
I would say $1000 is a fair price for the camera if it is in good condition. Is it a classic or a TTL? A TTL might be a couple hundred $ more. There are a lot of M6 variants as you can read here : http://nemeng.com/leica/002ba.shtml
