Not sure this is entirely proper (so please let me know if I'm out of line)...
I'm getting married in Memphis on March 1st. I know zero photographers in the area, and having enjoyed FM for a few years, learning a lot, and seeing the impressive work here, I thought I'd make this the first place I ask to see if any one would be willing to cover my wedding. I'd be thrilled to help out a fellow FMer (or even a contact that someone may have).
We will have a "healthy" budget for photography (since it's a passion of ours), so we're looking to hire a talented professional with a similar vision to ours (leaning toward photojournalistic, unique without being too wacky). I have a couple specific requests (such as I'd like the digital negatives for my own editing/use), but the details can be negotiated later.
I guess, first of all, any takers? No hard feelings if I don't chose you. I'd call myself picky... but easily impressed, if that makes sense.
This is a real gig. Not a joke and not a "chance for your first wedding". We're serious about photography and looking for a working pro. I just took this route to try to find one instead of trying to rifle through one of my fiance's bridal magazines.
