I bought this D40 thinking that I wanted to stay in both the Nikon and Canon camps, but I have decided that it makes more sense to stay with Canon. The D40 was received this afternoon from the brown truck, and is in excellent condition.
A little provenance on the D40: The original owner bought the camera on 3/10/07 from Best Buy. He registered it and bought a performance plan. All the paperwork will be included with the purchase, including the original store receipt and the performance plan registration. That being said, I am not the original owner, so I can not guarantee that the warranty would be transferrable.

1. D40, < 1600 actuations, in excellent condtion, with a DA Products D40 protector installed. Comes with paperwork and store receipt, battery, charger, eyepiece cover, strap, USB cable, manuals, and Picture Project 1.7 software. No real scratches or scuffs on the body, but a few scratches on the LCD protector.
