I'm selling my 70-200 f4 L. I purchased this lens when I went digital in April of 2005. Originally I had the ocasional Error 99 with the lens so just prior to the warranty expiration, I sent it in to be checked and adjusted. The power diaphragm unit was replaced, and the lens was cleaned and adjusted. Since then I have not had a single error.
This has always been my favorite lens. So much so that I purchased the IS version this weekend. Based on my initial testing, the IS version doesn't have significantly better image quality but the IS really is great.
70-200 f4 L Details
The lens is very sharp and has beautiful color, contrast and bokeh. It also works very well with the Canon 1.4x teleconverter. This combination takes good light (or a tripod), there is a slight loss of sharpness and a little loss of contrast. Stopping down one stop brings most of the sharpness/contrast back.
The lens comes with everything as originally packed - lens, caps, hood, carry bag, manual, warranty card, styrofoam, plastic baggies. The box is intact including UPC. I will include the papers from Canon Service Center showing the work that was done.
I will also include a Sunpak 67mm UV filter that fits the lens.
The lens itself has no marks, dents, dings or anything else I can see. It's never been dropped or abused. The hood shows lots of scuffing but no nicks or cracks. It fits tightly on the lens. Other than some dust on the rubber grips and the hood scuffs, the lens looks new. Glass is immaculate. I can't see any dust in the lens (not that it really matters).

I've bought and sold several lenses on FM including several this spring when I revamped my wide angle zooms. I'm not sure how many of those made it into the feedback thread but I can provide references on request.
I do not do paypal.
I'm happy to do an in-person deal. I'm in central Ohio and willing to do some driving as needed.
I haven't shipped international before but I'm willing to if you can point me to the necessary paperwork. However - I will not lie. About the contents, the value or anything else. Please don't ask, it's not going to happen.
I would expect and encourage a phone conversation so that we can both be comfortable with the details and each other.
I'm going to be busy this week and will be responding in the evenings only.
I'll work on getting pictures up but it may take me a day or 2.
