These fidgety little critters are abundant but don't hold still long. He was occupied with eating wildflowers which allowed me to shoot a nice series. Here's my favorite.
Great shot! Natural habitat, natural food and natural behavior! I don't believe I have ever seen a better photo of one of these little guys. This one is perfect!

Thanks Jason. This chipmunk was on my "hit list" of subjects I wanted to shoot and I was delighted to find one that was cooperative.
Simple comp, cute subject displaying natural behavior, nice color, detail, and sharpness, and some inclusion of a nicely textured perch. Not the most exciting of critters but it has all the requirements of what, in my mind, all good wildlife shots should have. Very, very nice.
Proof positive that one shot is more than enough because it gives us more time to enjoy all of the credits within. This photo has character plus, background plus, perch plus, and seemingly minor details that turn it into a work of art, such as the strings stuffed into the cracks of the log and the eyeball, you really know how to present that most important feature. I can see the 3 pixels that are you taking the shot
