I am not sure where to post this, but I guess here I am safe.
I just finnished my new website, and would love to have your comments, if possible in the guestbook included.
Another thing: the name ( www.artimagens.com) is a mix in Portuguese between "Art" ("arte" in Portuguese) and "Images" ("Imagens" in Portuguese)
Obviously "artimages.com" was already taken. For someone with the English native language like most of you, how does the website name sound like it is?
Either this is the wrong forum for my earlier question, the website is terrible, or this forum is not the one I used to know, with people helping eachother.

Wow. Love the site! Very nice. I was looking to do a site just like this, in fact. I may PM you later on with some questions, if you don't mind!
The photos are absolutely great, too! Very nice style and compositions!
Txs a lot.
Feel free to ask whatever you want.
The gallery itself was done with a Macromedia Flash component named Slideshowpro, that you can buy at www.slideshowpro.net. Very easy to install and configurate.
The navigation bar and the rest was pure html.

It does not work right on my computer. I guess everyone else has latest, greatest software, but it is annoying to install software just to view your website.

That is one caution I would tell you with having pure FLASH-based websites. You are going to lose viewers with very old browsers (I think it's like IE 3.0 and below and Firefox 2.0 and below).
If you have time I would consider having an HTML version for those who don't have the plug-ins. You can include a simple Browser check that checks what version of internet software that person has. The software will either allow the Flash to load or the HTML to load. It's pretty easy and the script can be found all over.
Hi Vasco - Delightful website with fine collection of photos. You're blessed, living in Portugal, to have those gloriously saturated colors with which to work. You have a fine eye for a distinctive perspective. I'm especially a fan of graphism and loved your offerings in that area. I recently downloaded the latest version of Flash and things worked fine on Safari, but since you're a Mac person I've no doubt you know that already. The Latest Additions did not work, however. The summary appeared but I wasn't able to link to any photos.
Thanks for sharing your efforts. I find them very inspiring. I'm a real amateur when it comes to web design and have yet to learn enough to create a really appealing website to display my photos. You've got me thinking...
