p.1 #1 · WTT Mint 85 f/1.2L Mk1

Well I picked this beauty up not too long ago because ever since I sold mine a while back I wanted it again. Unfortunatly since I have moved from the 20D to 5D and I find I like the 135mm focal length much better and I need to find a telephoto zoom as I sold mine to buy my girlfriend an engagement ring for valentines. I thought I would go with all primes but after shooting a fashion show this weekend I know that I need a zoom. And since I still have my 1.8 version this has to go =(

The lens is mint, razor sharp and comes with the hood and lens pouch, think it is a UF date code, will double check later.

I am looking to trade it for either a 100-400 IS or 70-200 2.8 IS, I would add a little money for the 70-200.

*EDIT* I also am in need of a second body now so I will listen to offers involving a 30D and 1D

Might also be interested in the 70-200 f/4 IS, am open to offers.

Hmm.... I could use one of these, but I can't part with my 100-400 or 70-200. Is there anything else you might trade for?

More importantly, how's Bubba?

Hey, Bubba is doing great, he is 55 pounds now, he gained over 20. Took him a while to get used to being loved, but now he sleeps with me every night and is excited when I get home from work =)

Anyways, I really am only looking for one of those 2 lenses right now. I love the 85L but right now it's a luxury lens and I need a good telephoto zoom.

Will you consider a 70-200 f2.8 non IS, plus some cash?

If I can't find a trade for the IS version soon I may consider it if its a sharp minty copy.

UF? is it a typo? a 16 years old lens?

Nope not a typo, it's UF, guess it is one of the first. Kinda amazing as there is no dust or anything in the lens, it's perfect.

Hi Bubble, I have one that is about the same age, bought it from Mike Hatam here at FM years ago. It is perfect, my favorite lens. The others are functional and used as needed. This one is loved. I feel no need to trade for the new version, mine is fast enough to get razor sharp images of a horse running by in an indoor arena, or at least the part of the horse (the eye) that I want sharp, at 1.2 aperture. Don't let the age scare you. The shot on the opening page of my website was taken with this lens under very challenging conditions, www.elledechenestudio.com.

I personally don't think the age matter either, I am sure it was serviced by canon and the AF is spot on and performs just as well as the one I had last year that was only 2 years old.

If age is scaring people away, I may just keep it and sell my 1.8 version, I can save up for a telephoto soon enough.

If you decide to do that, let me know. I am looking for a good 1.8.

Alright will do man, I am leaning that way but I might have a trade for a 1D and cash lined up, if that falls through I will most likely sell the 1.8
