Great work, Randy. Awesome shot of the Horsetail Falls, possibly the best one I've seen of this elusive subject that seems to be the ultimate merit badge for Yosemite photographers.
Wonderful shots Randy!
In particular, I find the mood in #3 most spectacular and of course the colors in #4 are awesome! I am happy you got such a nice light on saturday night!
I was very happy to meet you there too and certainly enjoyed the time with other FM_norcal people on friday.
Fabulous series! I was there over the President Day weekend and it was warm and sunny for one day and cloudy and raining the next. I wish I went a week later and encounter the "wonderful" weather!
That Horsetail Fall image is spectacular! I can imaging how jam packed it was at the picnic area I think your capture is better than the one they are selling at the Ansel Adam's Gallery.

Thank you Derek, appreciate the kind words. I could well have a shot that centers Lower Yosemite Falls for between the trees, good point. I see you're from Sedona, Az. Being retired now I plan to finally tour and photograph some of Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico. Perhaps I could impose upon you for some suggestions and pointers regarding your area.
By all means Randy, feel free to email me at [email protected] with any questions. Sedona's a great jumping-off point for so many iconic Southwest photo locations.
Wow. I was certain that was Bridalveil from some new great angle thru the trees. It's amazing how much the falls and the surrounding rock walls look like Bridalveil. Anyway really great job. You truly captured the feel of wintertime Yosemite. I was there the previous week but it only snowed on the valley floor for about an hour. It did rain for three days straight somewhat limiting photo opps but lots of "clearing storm" moments to make up for it!!
Since I joined FM, you have always been the Yosemite man for me, Randy.
These photos provide no exception to this impression, from the natural first to the supernatural last. The two inbetween are my favorites: moody moody moody !!!
