p.1 #1 · Nikon 200mm Micro w/6T Closeup | |
I didn't dare put Grasshopper in the title, but when I walked around the yard this is all that I found that would sit still long enough for this shot. I have been awfully impressed with Tom's work with the 500D but since they do not make one to directly screw onto the Nikon's 200mm macro, I thought I would give Nikon's 6T a try. It was overcast and late in the afternoon so this was shot with a flash. The angle on him was not the best, but I think it shows that the 6T adds some additional benefits to the 200mm micro. I did a crude measurement on him with my flash and his body was about 2.5 in (64mm) long. The distance from the front of the lense to subject was about 9 to 10 inches (2.5 cm).
ISO80, f/32, 1/125 second, shot in manual mode.
#1 is 70% of full frame, I cropped off some leaves.
WARNING! For the faint hearted before you scroll down to #3 it is a Pixel for Pixel crop of his mouth. Not a pretty site.
