Okay,

this should be simple but recently i purchased a lexar card reader and downloading the images from it has caused me trouble. I came back from a job yesterday and downloaded the first card fine but the second card stopped half way through and my mac froze.

I tried this again and the download stopped in exactly the same place and the computer stopped me from ejecting the card reader.

Any solutions to this trouble would be greatly appreciated. It could be something to do with the USB ports but other USB devices seem to work okay. I'd like to think i haven't wasted money on the card reader. Are firewire readers known to be more reliable?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

First, go to Lexar's website and DL and install the latest firmware and driver upgrades for your reader. You may not need any drivers, but a firmware UG is a good place to start!

If you've already tried this, disregard.
