p.1 #1 · What printer do you use?

I'm an Epson fan myself but I'm just curious to everyone else's feed-back

No suprises so far....but I don't think it will look like this in a year's time - market share is going to go through some changes - I bet we see Epson ramp up a 9+ ink printer sooner rather than later, due to the Canon and HP new printers.

I guess there's no way to poll it, but I use both an HP 130nr and a Canon i9900. Very different looks depending on the subject.

R2400 - Fantastic machine...... But there's always room for improvement. They'll surely bring out one where you don't need to swap cartridges!

Epson R1800 for smaller prints, and an Epson 7600 for larger ones.

The R1800 required a bit of tinkering with settings and profiles, but now it creates fantastic prints, color and b&w, on about 10 different papers.

The 7600 has been much more problematic. Atkinson profiles and custom profiles don't match the screen at all -- first time I've had to use soft proofing before printing, and even then the dmax isn't what I'd like it to be. I've found I've had to "punch up" a lot of images before printing, as well as lighten up the dark spots. It does very well on reds, yellows, and blues; not so well on browns and beiges.

Epson R1800 w/ inkrepublic CIS system, using MIS inks. Works like a charm (but I'm certainly less picky than many on here)

Print using Epson glossy paper for 4x6 and some 8.5x11, plus Ilford Smooth Pearl in 8.5x11 and 13" roll sizes.

Wife also prints on 12x12 scrapbook paper to make custom backgrounds and such

Epson 1270 and a Canon Selphy 510 for 4x6.

Been using Epson printers for 10 years.
