I'm still an amateur when it comes to light set-ups. What exactly is the significance of listing the f-stop next to the lights?

Bruce, by recording what the stops are set at for the different lights it helps you keep track of your lighting ratios so that you can recreate similar shots in the future instead of guessing.

Love the flash.. I would slow it down a bit though.. it's a little too fast to take it all in during one viewing.

Just got some Alienbees. Didn't get my whole order, one box missing. UPS guy said he's bringing it tomorrow. I bought the new remote trigger and receiver. Works like a charm. This shot was literally minutes after they arrived.

I know I had my hairlight with too much power as you tell by the end of her nose. Couldn't use a fill light as one of my speedrings must be in the missing box, so I couldn't use the softbox on the third light.

When I download an load into photoshop, Almost all the layers are turned on but I only see the wide backdrop, model and camera.

when I highlight a layer such as the hairlights I see an outline but nothing is in the box.

Am I doing something wrong?

There maybe sub-layer within the layer you have highlighted. Try clicking on it to see if the layer can be expanded.

This is absolutely the coolest thing. I'm somewhat the designated photographer at my church. With all the scenery changes for different events, this is a great way to keep track of what worked.
