p.1 #1 · Newbie question here

Ok So im going to take some time going through my lenses and stuff to clean and check my batteries and mainly clean to make sure my camera gets a lot of attention and care as part of preparing for tomorrows music shoot.
does anyone have any 'favorite' or 'best' cleaning tips? can i use windex on my lenses (front and back) and on my filters. does my filter have a texture to that x pattern?im araid to touch it....
what about cleaning the sensor and the mirror.
what abou the flash?
what about the diopter?

im going to start dusting around and come to check back in a while
thanks very much.

Hi - I don't have time to go into details, but please DON'T use Windex on any part of your gear. There are solvents designed for optics. Avoid using solvents at all on the sensor- brushes and lint-free cloth or paper works wonders. A blower brush works well on the sensors. Do not use canned air. - Good luck!

great, my flash batteries are dieing. i was planning on picking up some more tomorrow anyway. does anyone buy rechargables? do they have enough Ma or Mv power to charge quickly?

i am thinking of buying 8AA rechargables and a charger instead of always getting energizer lithiums for 20 bucks a pop. do they work just as well?
do you know what the power rating is for the rechargibles is?
