I also have the Pentax A camera - in perfect condtion.
My Step-mother purchased the kit when they were released, used then once (seriously!) then forgot about them.
Everthing looks like brand new, you could put them back on the store shelf to be sold.
She is hesistant to sell, but I figured I would ask about to see if they are woth anything.
Aparently they are autofocus? Hence the Pentax 'A' series of lens'. Was the AF any good? I dont have a battery for the camera at the moment so I cant test it.
Would anyone know if they are worth anything? If your interested I can get photos of the gear - seriously collectors quality.
The big question is, can I buy an adapter for the A lens' for use on EOS?
Pentax primes in good condition are in very high demand right now because many have gone out of production and replacements are not yet available. if they are what i think they are, you can get quite a lot of money for them. you need to test them for fungus and smooth motion. not having been used that long, grease hardening and oil on the aperture blades may be an issue. be sure to correctly identify them using http://www.bdimitrov.de/kmp/.
you can't mount them on a Canon without modifying the mount. if one of them is a FA* 200/2.8, i'm interested, but by the time i can afford, you should have sold it quite easily.
