Ah light painting - what a fun way to shoot. You've surely begun to master the technique which I found the hardest part being finding the right kind of light source. Once you've done that then the art of painting light can begin. Seems you've done both.

Appears the D200 handles long exposures quite well. Really like the first one.

Yes, the light source and extraneous light can be an issue, but it has proven to be an interesting and fun challenge.
