p.1 #1 · Nikon eyepiece advice

This is a picture of a custom made Nikon eyepiece. The 1.2 eyepiece magnifier shown on the upper left is the Nikon DK-17m Magnifying Eyepiece. The piece in the middle is the Nikon 2370 Eyepiece Adapter. Anybody have a guess as to what specifically the piece on the upper right is?

If the interior is threaded, then it is likely an adaptor, I just can't see in there to tell. Otherwise it looks like the frame of the glass view piece without its rubber ring on.

Someone will have a better answer here before long, though.

Here's the other side. This adapter allows you to thread the DK17-m Magnifier with its large thread onto the 2370 Eyepiece Adapter with its small thread opening. The resulting unit can then be slid over camera viewfinder.

My first thought was the DK-7 so I tried mine on the 2370 but it doesn't fit. Perhaps the adaptor comes with the DK-17m?

If you're a glasses wearer, then try before you buy a dk-17m. It does seem to hide part of the frame for some of us.

It's not included in any of the parts I bought.

Here''s the link to the site. If anyone can read it, or find contact info, that would be great!

I've succeeded at translating the page, and through careful analysis, I have come up with this:

aside from the 1.2 x .75 = .9, Which makes this eyepiece totally cool, the rest just made me laugh like hell...

I blew up the nikon boxes in the picture and googled the sku, but it was the odd shaped piece in the box on the right, not the adapter...

I also looked at the nikon dk-7 eyepiece adapter, I think, but it looks different.

No go on the DK-7. Someone earlier tried it and it was not fitting.

Does anyone have a Nikon diopter? Maybe it is an old diopter with the glass knocked out.

it looks like it has threads on both sides, so I doubt its a diopter

Well that has a lot more horse sense than ALL of the FF nonsense I've read.
