Yeah, this one is way sharper than the IS version. Photodo rated it a 4.3 out of 5 on sharpness. The IS version got a 3.4. The contrast and colors are better, too.

Mine is an awsome 420mm f5.6 with the 1.4 Convertor...........very sharp and AF is fast!! Another bump for a great lens!!
