This could be a a good and fun thread.

Anyone with shots from:

Canon 10-22
Tamron 11-18
Tokina 12-24
Sigma 12-24

Or your widest lens.

Please share!

I'd actually like to see how 10mm, or even 17mm looks on a FF or film camera.

Alex, only the Sigma 12-24 is compatible with full-frame DSLRs or 35mm film bodies. The others are useable on APS-C sensor sized DSLRs only.

Here's an image I've posted before but it's still a favourite. Sigma 12-24 @ 12mm, EOS1N, Kodak Gold 100.

cheers,
Merv

Yeh I realised after I posted most of those are 'EF-S-like', but your shot is exactly what I wanted to see.

12 MM hand held inside a nice Bar (Stube) in the Alt-Stadt in Cologne
(after my 2nd beer and @ 1/20sec as well--so not as steady as I would have liked) --but shows FOV possible with this Lens.

Taken with a 1D2 with the Popeye (Sigma 12-24 MM) @ 12 MM ISO 500, f 4.5 @ 1/20

Canon 14mm on 1D2

As you can all see, this lens leaves a lot to be desired. HOWEVER - I use it for documenting rough interiors on my jobs, and it's width really makes a difference sometimes. So, I'm keeping it.

Nice pics.

With the exception of the Canon 14mm, I use a Tamron 14mm, I'm convinced to the negative. That being, there's too much linear distortion in these lenses for my personal tastes. That's not a bad thing, just a matter of personal preferences.

Thanks for posting these images as my impression of what's expected, the results are completely different from what really is. Wow!

Not a slight, just a difference of needs.

Thanks again for these posted efforts.

Was "Pop Corn Shrimp" a variety in the movie Forrest Gump?
I love these wide angle shots, glad this thread was started!

Sorry for the repeat... I haven't had much opportunity to get out and shoot lately. Hopefully I'll have some new shots to post within a few weeks. For now -- all of these were taken at 10mm using the Canon 10-22 on a 20D.
